Shop Policies

During the quality checking process, all pins are graded. Unless specifically noted, all pins shipped are considered to meet "Standard Grade" criteria. Occasionally, we will have discounted "B Grade" pins that will be labeled as such. (These are a great way to get pins for your collection at a big discount!) 

GRADING CRITERIA

COLLECTOR GRADE - These pins are the magical few that come in absolutely flawless. "Collector Grade" pins are perfect for serious collectors that value absolute perfection in a pin. Because of the handmade nature of enamel pins, there are never guaranteed "Collector Grade" pins.

STANDARD GRADE - These pins are nearly perfect. They are great for being worn and for a pin board collection. "Standard Grade" pins may have very minor flaws, such as light scratching on the enamel, faint air bubbles, small dents, slight metal scuffing or discoloration, and low enamel fill on small areas. In general, these flaws are not noticeable unless inspecting the pin closely, or when the light hits the pins a certain way.

B GRADE - These pins are our "Oops!" pins. The flaws on these pins vary, but for one reason or another, they didn't make the cut for "Standard Grade." Examples of "B Grade" flaws include large areas of low enamel fill, discoloration of the enamel, missing enamel, large scratches or dents, noticeable nicks in the enamel, chipped metal plating, or large dents and scratches on the metal. 

PREORDERS

Preorders offer the guarantee of receiving a pin that may sell out in the shop. These orders are placed before production on a pin begins and help to fund it. Preorders for pins generally have a 4-6 week production time, barring any production setbacks. We update our Instagram feed/story often with the progress of our preorder pins and we share pictures of the production process. Make sure to follow us @fairyblairco to stay in the know about preorder status.
Preorders are filled on a first come, first serve basis with "Collector Grade" pins, followed by "Standard Grade."

SHIPPING

General Shipping Policy
Fairy Blair Co. ships Monday - Saturday, unless noted otherwise on the site or our Instagram. In hand orders are generally packed and shipped within 24 to 48 hours. Please allow more time (up to 72 hours) during peak holiday season. 
Preorders are quality inspected and shipped within 24 hours of receipt. 

Tracking
All orders will receive tracking numbers. An email will be sent to the email provided when your package is shipped with tracking information. If you are missing your tracking information, please use our contact page to request tracking and we will provide it promptly. Generally, international tracking stops updating once in the destination country.

Domestic Shipping
There is a $4 flat rate for shipping domestically. Shipping times vary between carrier and location. We are not responsible for carrier package loss - however, after contacting the carrier, please email us if you believe your package has been lost. We will also attempt to contact the carrier for you.

International Shipping
There is a $15 USD flat rate shipping charge for international customers. ($10 USD to Canada) It may take anywhere between 7 and 25 days to arrive in your home country, so please allow plenty of time for shipping. Any duties that occur at customs are the responsibility of the buyer.

RETURNS
No returns, refunds, or exchanges. When buying handmade items, the buyer acknowledges variations and flaws are possible. If you believe your item to be damaged or flawed beyond the scope of the criteria mentioned above, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. There will be no refunds for preorders - when ordering these pins, you acknowledge that there will be a wait on the pins while they are in production. We also do not accept order cancellations at this time.
